Basic Life Support (BLS)

Designed for healthcare professionals, this class provides essential training related to High Quality CPR, adult and infant choking, and use of a defibrillator (AED). This class is open to both healthcare professionals and anyone who may need to be prepared in a home or public setting to provide life saving care with confidence.

First Aid

This class covers a wide range of first aid awareness and treatment, giving you the tools to address a variety of health concerns both at home and while out and about. Topics covered include basic first aid, excessive bleeding, hypothermia and heat-related issues, bites and stings, and application of naloxone for opioid overdoses.

BLS and First Aid

The BLS and First Aid classes can be combined for a one-day training session. In this case, BLS (adult and infant) is offered in the morning, time is given for a lunch break, and then the afternoon will be First Aid, including a basic session on Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

You Are the Help Until Help Arrives

This course, put together recently by FEMA, provides information and practical training related to a mass casualty event or significant trauma where you need to render aid until medics arrive and can take over. Topics covered include Stop the Bleed (application of pressure dressings and tourniquets), patient packaging in cases of shock, and how to communicate important information to inbound medical help.

“Having the confidence to get involved in a life or death situation is so critical.  I don’t want to be stuck on the sideline when seconds matter!”

– CPR Student
